Vila is a soloist and chamber musician known for his sensitivity, phrasing elegance and technical mastery of his instrument. His concert activities have taken him throughout Asia, Europa, North and South America.

Collaborations include those with artists such as Gary Hoffman, Nobuko Imai, Cho-Liang Lin, members of the Julliard String Quartet, among others. 

He has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras worldwide, including the Houston Symphony, the Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, the Liège Royal Philharmonic, the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the Santander Festival Orchestra, all principal orchestras in his native Ecuador, among others.
